It is getting chilly outside and rain has finally come upon Los Angeles. After all the fires, this rain is a good thing, although it comes with consequences. As many of us know, Hollywood High is over a hundred years old. This means there are a lot of cracks in the structure of the school that need to be fixed.
There are many leaks around the school and it has affected lots of people. For those who have PE, there are leaks in the locker rooms, big gym, and small gym. The leaking has even caused the JV basketball game to be cancelled. Another effect of the leaks is that because of the hazards of wet water, nobody can change or do anything for their PE class.
There are over seven leaks in the dance room which leaves no room for dancing on a wet floor. With the arrival of heavy rains, this can only mean that the leaks will only get worse. There will not be enough trash cans to contain them all.
I know we all have the same question. When will Hollywood High get renovated? We need new roofs and to finally change those dirty staircases. But first they need to find the funding for it. Let’s hope the leaks will be the only problem at Hollywood High this year.
