Blake Jenkins is current the captain of the baseball team as well as the upcoming second pitcher and third basemen. He has climbed up the ranks by excelling in the sport he knows best while gaining the respect of his teammates and coach.
Blake has been playing baseball for over eight years and has been looking up to the day where he could play for an official team.
Being captain has been a rewarding experience for Blake. “I have managed to learn to take charge and give orders to make sure that the baseball team has a good year,” said Blake. “Judging from my performance from last year it was more than clear that I was going to be captain since I tend to take initiative compared to my teammates. Also I have past experience in playing baseball for little league so my skills and baseball knowledge were on par from what the coach wanted to see.”
Last year, Hollywood High’s baseball team had a 9-8 record (0.529 Win Pct.). Hopefully, under the leader ship of their captain, the team will have an even better record this season.
